Paralegal - Federal Government Contract

Location: Washington, DC

Intelligence Federal is a fast-growing government contracting company seeking a Paralegal to support a federal government agency. Location: Onsite in Washington, DC. Hybrid work (1 day per week) may become available after the initial period of employment.

JOB DUTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Tracking and managing the flow of documents and other investigative, litigation, or case-related materials
  • Liaising with Litigation Support Services and section data management with respect to uploading, organizing, filtering, reviewing, and transferring or producing documents and electronically stored information
  • Performing document review in eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity and Everlaw
  • Assisting in trial preparation including scheduling interviews, hearings, witnesses, depositions, and other related discussions
  • Assisting with research, writing, and related task such as, creating first drafts of documents such as memos, subpoenas, and discovery dover letters

SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • Must be eligible to obtain a government clearance. Having an active federal clearance already is a plus. Please make sure your clearance level is listed on your resume.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS & SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must be willing to work onsite in central Washington, DC
  • Paralegal certificate or one to two years (1-2 years) of experience as a paralegal
  • Experience working with a federal or state legal entity preferred, but not required
  • Must have a working knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and WestLaw
  • Proficient in litigation discovery software and MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Adobe PDF
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well within groups handling large volumes of work
  • Ability to work independently
